CRM is Easy

CRM is probably the easiest thing a business can become.

A business does not do, buy, acquire, or otherwise gain access to CRM. CRM is not software, it is not desktop based, web based, or based in anything outside of you (and everyone else in your company).

Customer Relationship Management is just paying attention.

CRM software vendors will make all sorts of claims about their product doing x, y, z. Typically, they have no idea this is true and just rely on some study someone else did, somewhere, to back up their claims.

CRM comes from the inside. Its about you wanting to care about your customers, what they need, making sure they are satisfied, happy, and content with what you've given them. Its about creating real, reciprocal human relationships. Its not about managing them, tracking their data, sending them constant notifications of new offerings, or anything of that sort.

Its about paying attention, and watching your customers. Excuse me, people. If you need a tool to tell you what's working and what's not working, you might have some problems. Slow down, look at what's going on around you, feel what decisions you need to make and let the pressure radiate off you.

This is easy. CRM and a personal practice like Tai Chi, Chi Gung, and Yoga are intricately tied together. If you are curious about how to really kick your business to the next level - kick yourself up there first. Consciousness is what creates good business decisions and direction - not software. And, even if your tools did 99% of the work for you, you would still have to be open enough to consistently act on the patterns revealed to you and stay on top of them, day after day, until they change. Who does this anymore? Staying power is a lost art, and to surprise you, its something that your feet help you with. Being grounded creates a point from where you can draw a line to affect an area. This principle can take your business from point A to B if you slow down enough to realize its hidden meaning.
